The Parva Mala Sathi

Every Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa festival of the year — one flower at a time. The great journeys as multi-day arcs, the rest as single sacred days, each told properly instead of squeezed into one line on a calendar.

2027 runs from Vasanta Pañcamī on February 11 through Gītā Jayantī on December 9 — 28 occasions across 5 grand journeys and 10 single sacred days. Join anytime; every occasion opens on its real date.

🖼 Hero painting placeholder — Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa seated together, garlanded in fresh jasmine and marigold, the four seasons of festival life suggested behind Them (swing, lamps, colour, chariot). Vrindavan-miniature style, indigo & gold to match the rest of the site.

Not alone in this

Every festival, kept together

Join a shopkeeper in Vrindavan closing early for Janmāṣṭamī, a college student in Toronto lighting a diya between exams, a grandmother in Kolkata who has kept every Rādhāṣṭamī for sixty years, a father driving two hours home for Holī with his children, and a widow who found her community again through Kārtik vrat — for every festival of 2027, one flower at a time.

You won't just read about the festivals — you'll walk into them. Each occasion, you'll meet someone new: not just people who look like you, but a boatman in Puri who has pulled Jagannātha's chariot rope every year of his life, a nurse who takes her one festival day off no matter what, a teenager discovering Rādhā's love for the first time. Hear why the day matters to them, how they prepare, how they celebrate — and then keep it with them.

This isn't a calendar you're following. It's Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa's own festivals finding room in a year that was already full.

How each occasion unfolds

Meaning, preparation, celebration, closing

Every festival gets the same care, whether it's a two-day sacred day or a two-week journey — nothing reduced to a one-line calendar entry.

The story

Why it matters

The līlā or event behind the occasion, and its real significance — not just what it's called, but why it's kept at all.

🖼A scene from the līlā being described, painted in the site's Vrindavan-miniature style.
Before

Prepare

What to arrange beforehand — what to buy, clean, cook, or set aside — so the day itself isn't spent scrambling.

🖼Hands preparing flowers, sweets, or a small altar the evening before.
The day

Celebrate

How it's actually observed — the rituals, the offerings, what to do and avoid — and why it still matters in a modern working life.

🖼A family or devotee mid-celebration — lamps, colour, or a shared meal.
After

Close

How the occasion is properly brought to a close — the concluding ritual or custom, and a reflection to carry forward.

🖼A closing scene — a lamp being put out gently, or a last offering.

Across the year

A garland, not a tulsi

Ekadashi grows a tulsi — this is a different practice, so it keeps its own visual. Every kept occasion adds a flower to the garland: a small flower for a single sacred day, a larger one for a completed grand journey. Missed occasions stay on the string, ready to be caught up on.

3 of 15 flowers woven

Shown here partway through the year, for illustration — 5 large flowers for the grand journeys, 10 small ones for the single sacred days. A real member's garland starts bare and fills in only as each occasion is actually kept.

A full garland, at year's end, becomes a downloadable illustrated keepsake.

🖼Optional: a hand-painted full garland (jasmine & marigold, strung with small gold bells) to replace or sit beside the live illustration above.

The five grand journeys

Multi-day festival arcs

These occasions are too large for one email. Each becomes a short guided journey through its own stops — the meaning, the preparation, the celebration, and how each stop closes.

Ten more, kept singly

Sacred days

One occasion, one email — the story, why it matters now, and one small thing to actually do.

Dates above are drawn from RadhaKrishna.io's own Vaishnava (Gaudiya) panchang for the full 2027 calendar year. Holī in Vraja and Jagannātha Ratha Yātrā are unchanged from our own verified Festival Playbook; Jhulan Yātrā, Janmāṣṭamī & Nandotsava, the Month of Kārtik, and the ten single sacred days from September onward were freshly researched this year against independent Vaishnava calendar sources (cross-checked against the ISKCON festival calendar) and we recommend a quick confirmation against your own temple's panchang before relying on them for a group observance. Jhulan Yātrā's exact 2027 start date was not directly published by any source we found and has been estimated from the traditional five-day span ending on Balarāma Jayantī — please treat that one date as provisional until your temple confirms it.
